From the moment we walked into this condo it felt like we were in our own apartment. This beautiful beach front condo was warm, friendly, inviting, and VERY clean. It was well equipped with everything we needed! We were greeted with a welcome card and a sweet gift that was handmade. The information book explained, in great detail, everything we needed to know. I loved how well laid out and functional the condo was and how the entire place was stocked with everything……towels, plates, glasses, silverware, pot/pans, condiments, COFFEE and so much more!!! The listing description and photos were incredibly accurate and the only thing I was surprised by was the sheer beauty of the place and how incredibly amazing it was to be there. This was a great spot for whale watching. We saw whales our very first night there under the most gorgeous sunset I have ever seen. Serenity was an understatement! Perfectly blissful! Wonderful people around us, good natured, and no shortage of waves to boogie board on! The entire island is a dream but I truly feel that Kihei Sands is the best spot. It wasn’t full of tourists but it definitely had life! Elen and Gina were amazing and we wanted for nothing. Top notch service! I would definitely recommend to anyone and I will definitely be back! Thanks Elen! Mahalo!!!!

A Home Away From Home

If you are looking for a place to stay in paradise that feels like your own “Home away from home”, this is it! It’s on the ground floor (an aspect you’ll greatly appreciate), it’s clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, and very well provisioned. We never had to say, “we need a ….”, and not find that it was already there! The owner of this condo unit has thought of everything! When she said, (other than food) “Just bring your clothes”, she was not kidding. You have your own lanai, and there’s no adjacent condo jammed up right next to the unit, so it’s quite private and a great place to have your morning coffee and enjoy an unobstructed view of the sunrise. It’s just a few steps to the pool, common patio, and the beach, and being located on the older, North end of Kihei, away from the bulk of the condos, apartments, and homes in Kihei, the area is quiet and our morning, sunset, and moonlight walks on the beach were very peaceful and romantic. There’s morning coffee provided on the common patio, if you don’t want to make your own, and occasionally they’ll have a pancake breakfast for all guests (the macadamia+banana pancakes were wonderful!). There’s also an evening social hour with pupu’s (Hors d’Oeuvres) where you can get to know all the other guests and watch the beautiful sunsets. Generally, all the other guests, when we were there, were in the 45+ age group, which for us, was an added bonus. All of the people we met there were very nice, and became like good neighbors and friends that were all sharing the little slice of paradise that we called home, even if only for a short time. We were so happy to have discovered this great place to stay on Maui. The owner is very personable and a real pleasure to deal with. We will definately be going back to stay there again! Aloha!

Hidden Island Gem

After hours and hours of searching for the perfect place for our honeymoon, I came across this hidden gem! The location was excellent, allowing us easy access to both sides of the island for all of the activities we had planned. It has all the comforts of home and then some!! The kitchen has everything you can possibly need. Some days we cooked breakfast and dinner, which we ate on our private lanai or patio by the beach! The bed was very comfortable and the bedroom had plenty of closet and drawer space to unpack and settle in. Tastefully decorated and very clean, there is also an assortment of CD’s and books to keep you entertained! This is one of the nicest units in the complex. We met another couple on vacation and they were definitely jealous about how nice our unit was! Coffee is served out on the patio every morning. The property managers, Maureen and Paul, are very friendly and the atmosphere was great. The views from the beach are spectacular, with the West Maui mountains to the right, Mt. Haleakala to the left and Molokini to the south. It really gives you a sense of all there is to explore on the island! One special moment for us was sitting on the beach and watching the humpback whales breach the water! Some of our activies included: *Bluewater Rafting – owner’s recommendation and probably the most fun of the trip! *Blue Hawaiian Helicopter – West Maui mountains and Molokai tour *Feast at Lele luau *Driving – Mt. Haleakala summit sunrise, road to Hana, west Maui mountains *Pony Express – was cancelled due to weather but looked unbelievable Restaurants: Grandmas – owner’s recommendation, in upcountry. Liked it so much for breakfast we went back twice! The Waterfront Kobe Japanese Steakhouse Eskimo Candy – awesome fish and chips It was hard to say goodbye this unit. We miss the sound of the crashing waves while we sleep. We would definitely stay here again and have recommended it to everyone we know!! The owner’s communication is outstanding and definitely goes above and beyond. Her recommendations were spot on and we absolutely had the time of our lives. If you are coming to Maui, look no further, this is the place to stay!!!

The Only Place to Stay In Maui!

My husband & I spent a week in Maui to celebrate his 50th birthday. We have visited the island many times (we were married here 20 years ago). We have stayed on different parts of the island and have always had a nice time. This time was outstanding! The condominium we rented at The Kihei Sands was like a little slice of heaven. The owner was very helpful and the condo was perfectly appointed. Like a home away from home. The on-sight managers were very welcoming and friendly! The location was perfect for families and couples. We will defiantly return to The Kihei Sands on our next trip. Do not miss this hidden gem!

“Awesome A6”

A6 is the best! It was our 2nd time staying here and Elen the owner, and Gina the housekeeper couldn’t of provided us with more. The condo is clean, cozy and has everything you could possibly want. It’s those extra touches like the Kona coffee at hand and the delicious pineapple, housecoats, and even warm sweaters if you need them. Wish we could of stayed longer! It’s a home away from home.

“Hidden Gem!”

We stayed at the Kihei Sands in A6 for two weeks. The condo was well maintained, clean, beautiful flowers, and friendly staff. Great location right on sugar beach. Clean pool and patio area for bbqing. Loved evening socializing with other guests and sharing experiences on the island and watching the whales. Our suite was great, had everything we needed. The owner went above and beyond to help make our trip to Maui the best vacation possible. Very clean also, lots of extras provided by owner, and at a reasonable price. We highly recommend this suite and condo and definately plan to come back.
